Tonya is a wife of 25 years and mother of two. She longed to have her husband home from a demanding and stressful career that kept him gone most of the time from her and their young children.

Tonya and her husband (David) learned how to leverage a system to create ongoing income that allowed her husband to come home and be a full time father and entrepreneur and her to be a full time homeschooling mother and home-based business owner.
​
Their business has allowed them to travel considerably and enjoy freedom that they would have never known without entrepreneurship and the benefits of a having a home based business.
At the end of his fourth-grade year, we decided to homeschool him. This marked the end of my nursing career at that time. For our son, it allowed him to complete 5th to 8th grade level material in the first year and work at his own pace in other subjects. It also gave us plenty of time to spend together and participate in family events.

Unfortunately, this decision cut our family income in half. About six months into our first homeschool year, I started looking for other ways to earn a living and make up for the lost income. Finding work-from-home opportunities in an area I had some experience in was exciting. Over time, my husband also joined in these activities, and together, we were able to more than replace the income we had lost. This new flexibility allowed us to do many things as a family that wouldn't have been possible if I had continued in my job.

For our son, homeschooling provided an environment where he could thrive. It enabled him to enjoy learning and grow in ways he never could have in private school. Ultimately, he earned a presidential scholarship, which covered his full tuition at a major university, where he completed his degree in nuclear engineering and his master's in mechanical engineering.

When our son was in his first four years of elementary school, I was working a demanding 40+ hour week as a master's level nurse in a large physician's office. I loved my profession and saw it more as a calling than just a job.

Because both my husband and I had successful careers—mine in healthcare and his in real estate—we were able to afford one of the best private schools in our community. However, this school was very rigid; it was difficult for children who didn't fit their specific mold. Our son was a very gifted child, and despite the school's high academic standards, it still didn't fully meet his educational needs.
He would finish tests well ahead of the other children and then try to help them complete their tests as well. As you can imagine, this did not go over well in that environment. He was frequently disciplined and isolated from the other kids. We asked the teachers to give him more challenging work, but they always said they couldn't.
